You can now make video calls over 3G with the Fring app. They issued an update yesterday that enabled the feature. I have used it and it works suprisingly well. Its not as smooth as Facetime but the video and call quality is certainly useable. All you have to do is download the free Fring app from the app store, sign up and add either Fring or Skype contacts. You can use wifi or 3G. To make a call you just select a contact, then hit the video call button. You can even place calls to people using Skype on a computer. It's nice to see that you can in fact make decent video calls over 3G. As at&t rolls out their faster 3G network later this year it should be even smoother.
