Luxury Sports car maker Porsche is jumping on the green movement. They debuted this plug in hybrid Spyder at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year and now it is going into production. The car is said to be able to reach 78mpg, which sounds excellent for the planet conscious rich people out there who still need to hit 150mph. It boasts a 500 horsepower V8 and two 109 horsepower electric motors. It can drive for 16 miles just off of the lithium ion battery. While the green specs don't quite live up to the Chevy Volts, it is a move in the right direction for sports cars in my opinion. Pricing is supposedly going to be over 600k, so start saving now.
