ASSET allows cops to eat more donuts, citizens to get more tickets

In America we typically vote against red light cameras and I am not aware of many places with speed cameras.  This device if implemented would be worse then both.  The Advanced Safety and Driver Support for Essential Road Transport (obnoxiously long name for super police ticket giver), or "ASSET" captures your speed, license plate, if you are wearing a seat belt, the status of your insurance, if you are driving too close to the car in front of you, if you are going to fast for the road conditions, and can call the cops by itself.  Before you start screaming death to big brother, the device is currently just being rolled out in Finland, costs $80,000 a unit and requires a huge trailer.  Regardless I hate it, even if it never comes to America I still hate that it exists.  Somewhere in Finland some poor guy will no longer be able to do 90 through a school zone with multiple hookers hanging out of his sunroof, and that's just not right.
