A Chinese Dairy farm has come up with renewable cow energy. The farm created a gigantic methane converter that can take the poop of up to 60,000 cows on the Huishan Dairy farm, and convert it into electricity. How much electricity you ask, reportedly 5.66 megawatts. Which is enough juice to power 3,500 American homes. The converter is about 10 times the size of other methane converters. The device could reduce the Chinese farms carbon emissions by 180,000 tons. Follow the source link for more detailed info on the process. via: technologyreview
