Yesterday Google finally came out and officially announced their second Android powered smartphone. Dubbed the Nexus S and manufactured by Samasung, the phone has the look of a beast. Google was wise to partner with Samsung as they have been releasing the best phones aside from the iPhone, and they have those awesome AMOLED screens. The phone comes with a stock version of Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Which means there will be no carrier installed nonsense like nascar apps. The S has a 4-inch 800x480 curved glass "Contour Display". You can see the slight curve in pic on the right. I'm guessing this makes the phone a little easier to handle then a regular flat device, even if it doesn't it still looks cool at least. The S has a 1GHz Hummingbird processor and 16GB of internal storage. The camera has a 5 megapixel sensor with flash, and records video at 720x480. The front facing camera has a standard 640x480 VGA resolution. The phone is 10.88mm thick and weighs 129g. The S can also function as a 6 device hotspot. It drops December 16th online and at Bestbuy, either unlocked or with T-Mobile. You can follow the link to see the official Nexus S site. Read on for some more pictures and teaser videos.
