Ultraportable laptops are all the rage these days. Asus is one of the leaders in this category. They have released a bevy of models from 12.1 to 13.3 inches, all offering excellent battery life with strong performance. They look to continue this trend with the release of the U36, the latest in their "U" series of ultraportable yet affordable laptops. The specs are rather enticing. The laptop features a 13.3-inch LED screen, an Intel Core i5-460M processor, NVIDIA GeForce 310M graphics, 2GB of ram (would suspect this will be 4 by release), a 500GB HD, HDMI out, one USB 3.0 port, and a height of .75-inches. The Magnesium shell and 4-cell battery bring the weight to just over 3lbs, and the battery life to around 10 hours. Pricing is still to be determined. It reportedly will be available in black or silver like pretty much all of the companies offerings. I will keep you posted as more info spills out. via: engadget, tcmagazine
