In what was seen as inevitable, the peer to peer file sharing service Limewire has finally been shut down by the courts. Limewire CEO George Searle has come out and said that the company is set to release a completely legal music service this month. While they are not happy, it appears that they wisely knew this was coming and have set themselves up like Napster did when the courts shut it's original service down. I wouldn't expect the music industry to cooperate with their new service and it appears so far they aren't. File sharing services as a whole have been taking a beating, first torrent downloading sites, now Limewire. We will demo the new Limewire as soon as it is released. via: switched
