The Philadelphia Eagles are going green. In a move they are calling their "Declaration of Energy Independence" they have formed a new partnership with SolarBlue for the next 20 years. SolarBlue will provide the Lincoln Financial Field with spiral wind turbines on top of the stadium, 2,500 solar panels installed around the stadium, and biodiesel/natural gas. 30% of the energy is renewable and they will actually be able to sell the excess energy back to the grid. Hopefully other teams will also follow suit and go green.
