Netflix now to offer a streaming only plan
In a move that has been rumored for a little while, Netflix has announced that they will offer a new streaming only plan for $7.99. With the new plan also comes a small price hike for the old plans. The chart on the right explains it all. The bigger plans have the heaviest increase with the 8 DVD plan adding 7 bucks a month. If you are a new subscriber these prices are in effect now. If you are an existing customer you will see the increase in your January bill. Netflix's streaming catalog offers only around 20% of their total movie collection. So its something to think about.
